What is Common Good Cyber?

Common Good Cyber is a global initiative with the goal of identifying and implementing innovative models for sustaining groups, organizations, and individuals involved in critical cybersecurity functions for the broader Internet community.

“Nonprofits are in a uniquely bad position; they have data that is very valuable to attackers, but often lack the cybersecurity expertise to protect it.”

John Todd: “We do about 600 million blocking events per day where we prevent somebody’s computer from connecting to a site that we know is harmful.”

Chris Gibson: “If FIRST disappeared, you would need to invent another forum of incident response.”

Piotr Kijewski: “Replicating Shadowserver on a similar scale would probably cost tens of millions of dollars.”
