Last week at RSA2024 in San Francisco, Philip Reitinger, President & CEO of the Global Cyber Alliance, met with Anna Delaney for an interview focused on Common Good Cyber.
“It’s an effort to create a virtuous circle with government, nonprofits, and businesses,” he explained as the lead representative within the Common Good Cyber Secretariat, which also includes the Cyber Threat Alliance, the CyberPeace Institute, the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), the Institute for Security and Technology (IST), and the Shadowserver Foundation.
“It’s an effort to build momentum and bring people in, recognize that there is a real business case here to get done what needs to be done” to fund the nonprofits that keep the Internet safe, Reitinger explained. The interview underlined the importance of the work and the advocacy plan, which was reinforced at RSA through a panel and media interviews.
