The Common Good Cyber Workshop, scheduled for February 26-27 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., is honored to announce Philip Reitinger, President and CEO of the Global Cyber Alliance, as the moderator for its closing panel. As a seasoned leader in the cybersecurity arena, Phil brings a wealth of experience and insight to guide us through a session aimed at charting the course for the future.
About Philip Reitinger
Philip Reitinger is a highly regarded figure in the cybersecurity domain, acknowledged for his outstanding leadership and steadfast dedication to fortifying global cyber resilience. In his role as the President and CEO of the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) since 2015, he has consistently led the charge in fostering collaborative endeavors to mitigate cyber risk and safeguard the digital landscape.
Before assuming the helm at GCA, Philip played pivotal roles in shaping global and national cybersecurity strategies in senior positions at VisionSpear LLC, Sony, and Microsoft, as well as within government agencies. Notably, he served as Deputy Undersecretary of the National Protection and Programs Directorate in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, directed the U.S. Department of Defense’s Cyber Crime Center, and was among the earliest dedicated cybercrime prosecutors in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
About the Closing Panel
In this culminating session, the goal is to assess the strengths and weaknesses of ideas generated throughout the workshop, coalesce around 1-3 tangible solutions to move forward, and identify key stakeholders, explore potential barriers, and discuss governance structures that will enable success for seeing those solutions to fruition. Together, the panel and audience will collaboratively determine the next steps required to translate ideas into impactful actions.
This closing panel promises to be a dynamic and participatory session, encapsulating the collective intelligence and innovative thinking of our diverse community. It is a unique opportunity to engage with leaders, contribute ideas, and shape the direction of future initiatives that advance cybersecurity for the common good.
